Employee Workspace
The eTimeMachine Workspace acts as the interface to the enterprise and presents personalized consolidated data and functionality to executives, managers (project & functional) and employees. The workspace is accessible on the LAN/WAN, internet and wireless devices (PDA) allowing company stakeholders to interface with the enterprise from anywhere, anyplace and anytime.
At the employee level, the workspace presents assigned project activities from Microsoft® Project, Primavera®, Action Request/Service Desk (Remedy™ & Magic™), activities (project, non-project and workflows) from eTimeMachinetm Enterprise. In ONE user-friendly environment an employee views all assigned activities, relevant project data (budgeted hours, start & end dates, dependent tasks etc…) and attached documents even those residing in document management systems to optimize employee efficiency.
In the same environment employees are prompted to report actual hours, expenses, progress, remaining hours and issues against all their assigned tasks. All data entered in to the workspace is passed through eTimeMachine’s matrix based timesheet approval hierarchy for validation. Once approved, data is sent to the appropriate Project Management, Financial, HR and Payroll System and also to eTimeMachine’s centralized data repository for extensive reporting capability.

You asked…we delivered. eTimeMachine announces the release of its Microsoft® Outlook integration functionality. Because of its ease of use, outstanding employee acceptance and impact on project management success, Microsoft Outlook integration is capturing the attention of executives from around the globe.
Employees can now view all their assigned tasks from Microsoft Project, Primavera®, Workflows, Remedy® ARS, Magic® Service Desk and eTimeMachine in a Microsoft Outlook calendar view. Employees can better organize and manage their activities to meet project deadlines. How is this done?
eTimeMachine has a plug in button called “Get Task” found on the Microsoft Outlook toolbar. An employee is given the flexibility to import selected activities or the entire work schedule into their Microsoft Outlook calendar. By simply clicking on an imported activity within Microsoft Outlook an employee can access all relevant activity information including: start and end dates, budgeted hours, attached documents, dependent activities etc…
It doesn’t stop here!
eTimeMachine now makes progress updating and time & expense reporting a convenient and natural extension to an employee’s work day. By right clicking onto an imported activity from within Microsoft Outlook, the employee’s eTimeMachine workspace instantaneously appears to enter time, expense, progress, remaining hours and issues. Workflows
eTimeMachine workflows are often described as "template processes" comprised of a series of sequential steps/activities - allowing for elaborate logic - with resources, roles and work groups pre-assigned to each of them. eTimeMachine allows for the creation and storage of a library of “template” workflows.
How do they work?
Once the project activity is initiated the first step/activity within the workflow appears in the assigned resource’s employee workspace. The employee is prompted to enter time, expense and progress against the workflow’s activity/node, which is then sent back to the respective project schedule in MS Project® or Primavera®, ERP, HR and payroll system. The completion of an activity/node will result in the next activity/node to appear in the following employee(s) workspace.
A resource that receives an activity/node has the option of rejecting, accepting or making other routing decisions. eTimeMachine’s unique approach in executing workflows allows project and functional managers to track progress and cost at every step.
eTimeMachine workflows are supported by detailed audit trails and can be used to maintain internal control (Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance).

Configurable Business Rules
eTimeMachine's Configurable Business Rules (CBR) is a module within eTimeMachine Enterprise that allows users to enhance and customize the system's logic to support their business processes. Using the CBR module, users can configure business rules and exceptions over and above those that are addressed by the software. For example the system can be configured to calculate cost of a specific resource based on the time of the day, the resource's association with a wage group and/or cost group and specific company rules such as overtime charges and night shift factors.
This gives the company added flexibility to address issues as they occur without having to request and wait for software changes and also supports and mitigates the challenges of operational changes. Configurable business rules also allow companies to automatically send out triggered notifications to employees.
