Senior Account Manager
SUMMARY
The Senior Account Manager maintains and grows relationships with large customers, while achieving an assigned sales and profit growth goal. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the
Senior Account Manager is expected to retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities within an assigned territory.
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for selling and supporting the firm’s complete product and service offering within an assigned territory. Focusing on customers with high-value, strategic growth opportunity, (Target Accounts) the Senior Account Manager is responsible for achieving an assigned sales and profitability goal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retain and profitably grow company sales, and increase profitability through proactive management of assigned accounts
- Penetrates target accounts by:
- Selling new or additional products or services to current customers
- Finding additional opportunities within the existing customer locations
- Selling to additional customer locations
- Sells the firm’s complete offering of products and services
- Lead all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management
- Develop customer account plans, prioritizes initiatives and establishes a clear action plan for success within Target Accounts
- Proactively manage customers’ satisfaction with products and services, anticipate potential problems and monitor solutions
- Manage customers’ transition from the sales process thru the services engagement and to completion
- Ensure sales orders have an acceptable margin of profitability
- Accurately record and update all call and sales activity in the company’s CRM system
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year college degree
- 5 years minimum sales experience ( ERP, BI, Enterprise Software Solutions and Services preferred)
- Selling to C level, complex sales
- Solution Selling Training
- Over achievers, top producers, consistently meeting and exceeding quota
